UPAYA PENINGKATAN KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT PESISIR CEGAH KOMPLIKASI PENYAKIT DEGENERATIF DAN PINTAR P3K LAUT DI KAMPUNG KALASUGE KECAMATAN TABUKAN UTARA KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN SANGIHE

THE EFFORTS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH OF COASTAL COMMUNITIES TO PREVENT COMPLICATIONS OF DEGENERATIVE DISEASES AND FIRST AID KID OF MARINE ACCIDENT IN KALASUGE VILLAGE, TABUKAN UTARA DISTRICT, SANGIHE ISLANDS REGION

Abstract

Kampung Kalasuge terletak diwilayah Tabukan Utara Pulau Sangihe berjarak sekitar 25 km dari kota Tahuna dengan posisi kampung berada di tepi pantai dan mayoritas penduduk berprofesi sebagai Nelayan. Masalah kesehatan yang diidentifikasi yakni kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penanganan P3K dilaut dan tingginya angka Penyakit Degeneratif berupa Hipertensi dan Diabetes Militus yang berdampak pada potensi komplikasi berupa Penyakit Jantung Koroner yang merupakan pembunuh nomor 1 di Indonesia. Sehubungan dengan hal diatas tim pengabdi telah melakukan Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat pada tanggal 16 mei 2023, dalam bentuk skreaning penyakit degenerative serta dilanjutkan dengan pemberian materi tentang pencegahan komplikasi penyakit degenerative dan tindakan p3k dilaut yang telah diikuti oleh 30 peserta. Hasil yang ditemukan dalam skreaning yakni 76 Persen mengalami peningkatan kadar asam urat sementara dalam workshop didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan sebanyak 43 Persen. Kegiatan ini telah dipublikasikan dalam media elektronik Sulut News.com serta ringkasan kegiatan dalam bentuk video. Kesimpulan dalam kegiatan ini yakni terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat serta komitmen dari seluruh elemen yang ada dikampung untuk melaksanakan pola hidup sehat.

Kalasuge Village is located in North Tabukan area of ​​Sangihe Island, approximatelly 25 km from Tahuna town, with the position of the village being on the beach and the majority of the population working as fishermen. The health problems identified were the lack of public knowledge about how handling first aid at sea and the high rate of Degenerative Diseases as well as Hypertension and Diabetes Militus which have an impact on potential complications in the form of coronary heart disease which is the number 1 killer in Indonesia. Based on that, the community service team was conducted the event on May 16, 2023. That particular event started with the screening of 30 participants about the degenerative disesase and followed by health education about the prevention of complications of degenerative diseases and how to provide the first aid. The results of the screening showed that 76 Percent participants experienced an increase in uric acid levels.  After the workshop, test result showed the knowledge of the participants were increased 43 Percent. The conclusion in this activity is that there is an increase in community knowledge and commitment from all elements in the village to implement a healthy lifestyle.
