Abstract
Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death among women with the highest prevalence in Indonesia. Cervical cancer is predominantly transmitted through sexual contact, with 493,243 new cases reported annually worldwide, resulting in 273,505 deaths per year. Available data indicate that the majority of women diagnosed with cervical cancer are already in advanced stages. Delays in seeking healthcare services can have severe consequences. This community service initiative aims to provide education and screening for women to facilitate early detection of cervical cancer, thereby promoting optimal growth, development, and health in the working area of the Tuminting Community Health Center. The activities carried out include educating women using the Peer Education model, followed by Pap Smear screening. The results of this initiative show an increase in women's knowledge and motivation to undergo screening or early detection of cervical cancer among all participants. Through this program, it is expected to educate and improve women’s knowledge, decision-making, and behavior related to early cervical cancer detection.
